MY APPROACH
I am a psychotherapist, trained at Metanoia Institute, with a Masters degree and Clinical Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy. I work with people facing challenges including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, addiction, bullying, bereavement, trauma and suicidality.
I offer you compassion and support so you become more aware of patterns which may once have served you well but can now be softened and let go. I listen and explore with you how to understand and accept the painful parts of life, unravel difficulties and try out new possibilities for change.
I aim to be warm, genuine and candid to help you increase your self-awareness, strengths and resourcefulness. We all have the capacity to grow and meet the world with more joy, I am here to help you face what is tough and explore growth and vitality again.
ABOUT ME
Before becoming a therapist, I had a creative career as a film and television director here and in the USA. Later, I built a successful executive coaching business working with leaders and managers of large organisations. Alongside this, I volunteered for fifteen years as a Samaritans and was the first Chair of Trustees for The Listening Place, a charity offering face to face support for those who feel life is no longer worth living.
I see individuals for short-term and long-term work.
I welcome hearing from you so we can start to discuss where you are and what you hope for and want.
