Child, Adolescent and Family Psychodynamic Psychotherapist

As we emerge from the pandemic and become increasingly aware of the psycho-social consequences that this has had on the mental health of children and young people, support and work like this has rarely been more important.

I am a Child and Adolescent Psychodynamic Psychotherapist working with Children, Young People and Families. I have a postgraduate certificate in Child, adolescent and family mental wellbeing and an MA in Psychological therapies with children, young people, and families.

I provide skilled therapeutic support to children, adolescents and parents, delivered with integrity, sensitivity, authenticity, warmth and professionalism. My role is to help you to make sense of your difficult feelings and understand yourself and others better. It can be challenging to share or open up and as a therapist, I provide a safe space to reflect and think. I am there to listen and walk alongside you to explore whatever comes up in the room.

My work with parents allows for opportunities to explore their relational challenges in a non-judgemental environment and I endeavour to help families transition out of old, unhelpful patterns, and create new ones, together.

I have over 20 years of working with children, adolescents and their families. My work has been in secondary and primary schools, charitable community services as well as in CAMHS at the Tavistock and Portman.

I offer therapeutic support for a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, disordered eating, emotional regulation difficulties (anger), identity issues, loss, low mood, low self-esteem, relationships, self-harm, sexual and gender identity, stress, trauma and much more.

Mother-Daughter Coach

The bond between mother and daughter is one of the most precious relationships in life. It can also be a complex and challenging one.

  • Do you feel your relationship with your mother/daughter is unhealthy?

  • Do you want to improve your relationship with your mother or daughter or both?

  • Are you feeling like you cannot express yourself freely in your relationship with your mother/daughter?

  • Does your relationship with your mother/daughter cause you pain?

  • Are you feeling like your needs are not met?

  • Do you feel silenced or find it hard to advocate for yourself?

  • Do you want to start to heal and break dysfunctional intergenerational cycles?

If you have said yes to any of these questions, I can help.

I am one of the few certified Mother-Daughter coaches in the UK, I work to help mothers and daughters deepen their connection, improve communication, and navigate difficult situations together. I provide a safe, non-judgmental and supportive environment for you to express your feelings and perspectives, while also facilitating constructive dialogue and problem-solving.

Together we will:

  • Understand root causes of conflict and pain in your relationship

  • Understand the role of family history, culture, religion, and politics in your role as a woman and how this impacts your relationship

  • Heal mother-daughter relationship conflict

  • Examine and challenge your expectations of each other

  • Learn how to assert healthy boundaries so that you can enjoy the time you have together

  • Learn to feel seen and heard in this and other relationships

  • Uncover themes and patterns that cause emotional disempowerment and attachment disruption.

  • Feel confident to voice what you feel, think, and need as a woman.

  • Heal and strengthen the Mother-Daughter relationship.
