I am a psychodrama psychotherapist registered with the UKCP and BPA with a practice upheld by a passion for spontaneity and connection.
Originally a theatre director I trained as a group and individual psychotherapist after noticing how actors and other professional creatives use the stage, screen, canvas, body and play script to confront and evolve their own inner struggles. Psychodrama therapy helps clients in a similar way but with the essential addition of a contained therapeutic relationship and boundary, and the conscious use of spontaneity in finding a way forward to new ways of being.
Therapy with me invites you to transform self-depreciation and judgement into curiosity. You may wish to seek out and explore new responses to old behaviours, develop insight, unpack a particular life episode or relationship, or simply take some time and space for yourself in an atmosphere of safety and compassion. Both psychodrama groups and one-to-one sessions offer all of the above.
You may be clear as to what you are looking for from therapy or wish for us to begin our work by exploring the question together. Whatever your thoughts and needs, I look forward to hearing from you.
I am currently taking referrals for one-to-one clients (daytime only) and a short-term, 8-week group beginning March 2024.
